The Unloved Collection

This series of linocut prints celebrates animal species whose names are used as common slurs.

The daily language that we use not only reflects our worldview, but subconsciously frames it and moulds it as well. By using words for animals casually as insults, generation upon generation cement assumptions about those animals themselves - that they are "dirty" or sinister, even dangerous.

By recognising the beauty in these unloved species, this series of prints elevates them and challenges us to rethink our place in the natural world.

All linocut prints are printed on 130gsm acid-free cartridge paper using archive quality inks. A mounting and framing service is also available.
